This bio-leather insert plate can be used with the As das Pferd grazing muzzle to protect the teeth. The narrow openings reduce the openings of the original base plate and thus ensure a stricter grazing restriction.
This leather insert is 6mm thick, feels soft, is flexible and the openings are smaller than the original bottom. Because this is a natural product, these recesses can become slightly larger through use over time.
We strongly recommend using a soft insert plate due to the hardness of the original base plate. In addition, using insert plates ensures a longer life of the grazing muzzle. If the insert plate is worn, it is easy to replace.
Additional note :
- Small irregularities may sometimes be visible in the leather, but this does not affect the functioning and quality of the insert plate.
- When using an insert plate, check daily that it is properly secured before putting on the grazing muzzle.
- Leather is a natural product and due to moisture and heat influences during use under different weather conditions, a leather insert plate can shrink or curl slightly. This is a natural process and does not affect the protective effect.
Features:
- Suitable for grazing muzzles from AS Das Pferd im Blick
- Smaller openings further limit the amount of grass intake to ± 75%-80%
- Sustainable and high-quality organic leather
- Protects against tooth wear*
- Extend the lifespan
- Soft & flexible
- 6mm thick
- Cutouts smaller original bottom
*Despite using the insert plate, continue to check the teeth regularly (monthly). No insert plate or grazing muzzle can completely prevent tooth wear.
Size : Choose the size that matches the size of the grazing muzzle.
Extra tip if the insert plate comes loose from the bottom during use
Leather is more sensitive to moisture and heat than rubber and can curl slightly during use as it dries. To prevent the insert plates from coming loose and to keep the insert plate securely in place, we recommend fastening the insert plate using tie-wrap at the points shown in the photo. Make sure that the closure of the tie-wrap is always at the bottom of the base plate so that the lips cannot be bothered by it. In principle, the horse will not be bothered by the tie-wrap on the inside at these specific points. However, keep checking regularly for any spots.
