Artimud - Red Horse (hoof clay)

Artimud is an antimicrobial clay that can be used to care for, protect and eliminate fungi & bacteria in shallow hollows and cracks in hooves. Artimud is used for shallow superficial cracks, hollows and grooves in the hoof, fungal infections, White line disease and thrush.

Artimud was developed because after much practical experience it appeared that Hoof-Stuff (another product from Red Horse Products) worked very well in deeper hollows and cracks in the hoof, but did not stay in place in the shallower cracks and on the surface of the hoof. For this reason Red Horse Products started to develop a product that stays in place much better on the surface of the hoof and in the shallower cracks. What stays on the hoof better than mud from the pasture… Red Horse Products studied this effect well and Artimud was born.

Artimud can be rolled, pressed, kneaded, spread and shaped to stay in place. The active ingredients work not only to eliminate harmful fungi and bacteria, but also to support the natural healing and repair of healthy tissue.

Use in combination with adhesive hoof boots or pads

If you close the hoof with a pad or a sticky hoof boot, Artimud protects against softening and bacterial growth that can damage the sole of the hoof.
We recommend using Artimud in shallower, more open holes/cracks and Hoof-Stuff in deeper, narrower cavities.

Compound

• Green French Clay - An antibacterial clay that gives Artimud the perfect consistency.
• Bioactive honey - Provides an antibacterial, antifungal (anti-fungal) and antiseptic effect and also ensures a good, sticky consistency so that the product stays in place extra well.
• Zinc Oxide - a powerful and non-harmful antibacterial powder
• Eucalyptus Oil - Has a very effective antifungal effect, in addition, this essential oil helps to strengthen weakened hoof structures.

All ingredients in Artimud have been added for their antibacterial/antifungal effect or for the consistency with which they ensure that Artimud remains in place for a long time and is effective.

Usage

1. Remove as much dirt as possible beforehand and clean the hoof with Sole Cleanse
2. Artimud can be rolled, pressed, kneaded, spread and shaped. After Artimud has been kneaded into the right shape it can be applied to the cleaned hoof.

We recommend using Artimud in shallower, more open holes/cracks and using Hoof-Stuff in deeper, narrower cavities.
