With this soft fur, specially designed for the AS das Pferd grazing muzzle, you can provide your horse's nose with extra protection against chafing and friction through the AS das Pferd grazing muzzle. You can place the fur on both the front and the back of the grazing muzzle. Exactly where extra protection is needed. The fur is easy to attach using extra strong press studs. These press studs fit exactly into the grooves of the grazing muzzle, so they cannot irritate your horse.
Lambskin from Christ has exceptionally good pressure-distributing and heat and moisture-regulating properties. Really a no.1 choice if your horse has very sensitive skin or if chafing occurs. Preferably use the fur preventively so that your horse does not have to suffer from any chafing.
The coat is washable with a special detergent suitable for lambskins. This can be done by hand or in the washing machine on the wool/hand wash program. After drying, the coat can be made soft and fluffy again with a brush. By washing the coat with a lanolin-containing detergent or treating it with lanolin, you ensure that the coat becomes mildly water-repellent, so that it absorbs less moisture and becomes less heavy when it rains. Regular cleaning extends the life of the fur and increases the comfort of your horse.
The fur belongs to the AS grazing muzzle that is equipped with a halter . But with a small adjustment, the fur can also be used with the other model grazing muzzle, which you attach to a loose halter. You can then use a snap-off knife to make a small opening in the middle through which the attachment strap can fall.

Extra tips for chafing caused by the grazing muzzle.
- Has your horse developed a chafing spot? First check if the grazing muzzle is big enough. A fur also takes up a bit of space. Make sure there is enough space in the grazing muzzle to be able to place a fur.
- Also make sure the grazing muzzle is adjusted properly. A mesh muzzle hanging too low will cause extra friction because your horse will slide back to the ground with every bite. The better the adjustment, the less stress on the skin.
