This means that we cut a piece to size for you in the desired length. Two sides are finished and hemmed and the other two sides are the cutting sides. It is therefore a 'raw' product to process yourself.

This net is made of extra strong, knotless and food-safe PPE material with a diameter of 8 mm and is resistant to intensive use. With a mesh size of 3x3 cm, this slow feeder helps to slow down the eating pace and stimulates a healthy, natural feed intake. To take into account

Minimum order length is 100cm
We try to deliver lengths up to 2 meters as much as possible without a connecting piece. Sometimes a small corner of a few meshes with a connecting piece is unavoidable. Longer lengths can contain a wider connecting piece.
A connector is a weave connection that is made every few meters during the production of the net. This is due to the weaving direction of the net. The connection is in principle just as strong as the network itself, but because horses can put more strain on the net in one place, we keep this out of the meter goods as much as possible, just to be on the safe side.
The cut length is always an approximation of the length you entered. Whereby that length is minimally in dense meshes. Often it is the case that the piece you receive is a few cm longer than the ordered length.
The net is woven diagonally and can therefore, when new, still pull slightly crooked. This disappears once the net is properly in use or is secured in a frame.
This is a single length slowfeeder net and is not a ready-made product. Do you want to make a hay bag or something? Then take into account a double required length.
Do you need a longer length than available in the selection menu? Then request a quote.
Metered goods are delivered to the ordered size and are excluded from the right of return.

Helpful Tips

Always order your net slightly wider than your frame. If you tighten the net looser in your frame it will last longer.
Light the cutting edges briefly with a lighter to prevent fraying.
If you want to use the net in a box without a frame, attach the net with a snap hook to the eyes placed every ±20 cm.

Delivery time and shipment

Usually we can ship quickly (within a few days) but sometimes due to high demand delivery time can be longer. Please take into account a shipping period of around 10 working days.
If you purchase multiple products in addition to meter goods, you may receive them in multiple shipments.

How do I choose the right size slow feeder net?

If you want to place a net in a hay box without a frame, it is useful to place the net in such a way that a lot of hay can fit in it, but the net can also touch the bottom.

The minimum required width can be found by: 'the height + the width (short side) of your box'
The length of the net is determined by: the length (long side) of your box + a little extra (e.g. 10cm). This gives you a little leeway.

Determine which type of slowfeeder net comes closest to the required size. Always measure the size with a straw string or measuring tape/tape measure.

For confirmation you have a number of options:

Attach the net all around your tank at half height so that the net lies in a U-shape in your tank when it is empty.
Attach the net low at the front and high at the back. A kind of L-shape where the net can touch the bottom everywhere.
Always secure a slowfeeder net with snap hooks or straps, whatever you prefer. Without a frame you will have to use many attachment points to prevent your horse from eating along the net.

How do I wash a slow feeder?

Wash a slow feeder regularly, especially for horses with respiratory problems. Dust can accumulate in the weave of the net and in combination with moisture (saliva or drinking water) can become moldy. Washing can be done on a mild program at 30 degrees with little (or no) mild detergent. Use the 'extra rinse' function for an extra clean and residue-free result.

How do you keep a net in a frame clean?

If you use our slowfeeder net in a frame, do not fasten the net too tightly and rinse the net regularly with a garden hose to remove as much dirt and saliva as possible. When rinsing, first lay the rack flat on the ground so that the water can work a little more powerfully and then put the rack upright to rinse well. Let it dry thoroughly before the horses use it again. We have no experience with cleaning with a high-pressure cleaner, this is at your own risk.
