AS the horse sealing plate

With this rubber sealing plate you can temporarily seal the opening of the As das Pferd im Blick grazing muzzle completely. This can be used if horses are temporarily not allowed to eat, for example due to colic complaints or extreme sand eating in the paddock.

Important note

Please note! It is not advisable to let horses fast for long periods. Do not use the plate for longer than 2 to 3 hours at a time and preferably only on the advice of a veterinarian. Provide sufficient high-quality roughage both before and after use if the health situation allows. Drinking with a mask can also be difficult with this plate, so be aware of this. Using this plate can cause your horse a lot of stress due to the inability to eat. Only use this insert plate if strictly necessary and with common sense.

In sand eating

Make sure the cause of sand eating is resolved. This is often a sign of a mineral deficiency or a lack of roughage or fasting for too long. A mineral deficiency can occur in various ways. A deficiency in the diet or an increased need due to the wrong diet. In addition, various situations can cause horses to lose a lot of minerals in a short period of time and therefore the need is also increased.
